In every season of ministry, who you walk with matters. Our relationships shape our values, fuel our mission, and determine our Kingdom impact. As members of AFCM, we walk as a spiritual family under a shared calling, moving from participation to true ownership.
The Value of Spiritual Covering
Psalm 133 declares, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! …for there the Lord commanded the blessing-life forevermore.” When Christian leaders align with a vision greater than themselves, they experience a supernatural flow of grace, strength, accountability, and reward. Spiritual covering offers partnership, alignment, and empowerment. Being under the right spiritual covering connects you to its resources, protection, and
momentum.
From Affiliation to Ownership
Many begin their journey with AFCM as grateful recipients, thankful for fellowship, oversight, and inspiration. But over time, affiliation becomes ownership.
This transition typically follows a process:
- Recognizing Value – As you experience the fruit of the organization, your appreciation deepens.
- Receiving Benefit – You’re strengthened, encouraged, and resourced in meaningful ways.
- Embracing Responsibility – You begin to care deeply about the success and expansion of the ministry that has blessed you.
Ownership means we start promoting what we’ve experienced. Like the woman at the well in John 4, she didn’t just receive a personal word; she took ownership of it and became a voice for renewal in her city.
When leaders and members take ownership, they:
Engage fully – serving, giving, and participating.
Protect culture – maintaining a faith-filled and positive atmosphere.
Represent well – sharing the vision and supporting leadership.
Build trust – fostering loyalty and longevity.
Share in the reward – partnering in both the work and the fruit.
As you look around and see what God is doing through our members, ask yourself: Have I moved from affiliation to ownership? As Executive Director, I am calling on our members to take a step deeper into partnership. Your prayers and support matter. Your faith-filled leadership helps this ministry flourish.
