The people who lead with vision, support, and purpose.
Jim Kaseman entered full-time ministry in 1975 as the pastor of a small church in Minnesota. Just a year later, he was called into a traveling teaching ministry, leading to the founding of Jim Kaseman Ministries. In the years that followed, he played a key role in helping to establish 27 churches throughout Minnesota and the surrounding region.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Dakota in 1970. He also served in the United States Army, completing his military service as an Engineer Officer. He is a charter graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and holds ministerial credentials with both Rhema Ministerial Association International and the Association of Faith Churches and Ministers International. Additionally, he earned a Doctor of Divinity degree from the School of Bible Theology in San Jacinto, California.
Mike Sparrow came to the Lord in 1977 through the Jesus People Movement at Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa, California. Jan was a beach girl, walking around in her bib overalls with an embroidered fish on the pocket. Mike got hooked and they married in 1981. They moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and joined the Heart of the Bay Church, where they were trained and discipled by Pastors Mark and Brenda Thomas.
In 1986, Mike became a youth pastor at Agape Church in San Luis Obispo and remained on pastoral staff until 2024. In 2012, he was appointed as the Southwest Regional Director for AFCM, where he worked with the Executive Support Team and the Missions Director on various projects and conferences.
In 2024, Mike stepped into the role of Executive Director as Dr. Jim Kaseman’s Associate Pastor. Today Mike leads the day-to-day operations of AFCM, traveling extensively to support AFCM members, missionaries, and regional directors all over the world.
Mike and Jan have three grown children and eight grandchildren, all serving the Lord!
