Thanksgiving and the Christmas Season are times when we reflect on the goodness of God. The Word of God says it best of all:
Psalm 100:4-5, “Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Be thankful for Him and bless His Name, for the Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting and his truth to all generations.”
Psalm 95:6-8, “Let us come before His presence with Thanksgiving let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, and the King above all gods.”
II Corinthians 9:15 (Amp), “Now thanks be to God for His Gift, [precious] beyond telling [His indescribable, inexpressible, free Gift]!”
John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
Romans 10:9, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
I am a very thankful child of God. Sin separated me from God, but because Jesus was willing to pay the penalty of sin for me, I was able to receive eternal life at twenty-nine years of age. It was through Jesus’ suffering, death, burial, and resurrection that I was not only able to receive eternal life but to be set free from the power of sin and have my sins forgiven never to be remembered again, giving me right standing with God. Not only that but I was also taken from the power of darkness (the Kingdom of Satan) and translated into the Kingdom of God. I was set free from Satan’s hold and all powers of darkness. Jesus’ shed blood (by the stripes that He bore) set me free from sickness and disease, enabling me to walk in divine health and have all my needs met abundantly through the New Blood Covenant. Glory to God! (Eph. 2:1; Luke 24:46-47; Col. 1:13- 14; I Peter 2:24; Phil. 4:19).
God has abundantly blessed us in Christ Jesus, and with grateful hearts, we share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others so that they too may receive the blessing of eternal life.
May you continue to experience God’s richest blessings as you work and walk together with Him in the upcoming New Year.
